Eta Upsilon Chapter at North Carolina State University

Kappa Delta

Our Recruitment

Kappa Delta has given me the opportunity to push past my comfort zone and truly pursue my potential. This chapter has given me the gift of confidence, and the support of sisters who have seen capabilities in me that I never saw in myself. Last year, I was given the chance to serve as VP-Membership, and lead the chapter through formal recruitment. While this task was originally daunting, my sisters inspired me and instilled confidence in me to lead a successful recruitment. Recruitment not only allows us to connect with women with similar values, but also to reconnect with the sisters that make this chapter home. Recruitment gives the opportunity for our sisterhood to not only blossom as we interact with potential new members, but also for our current sisterhood to flourish as we are all reminded of the sense of community and family that first brought us together. The hard work of recruitment truly pays off -- I am reminded of this every day when experiencing the love and support of my sisters in my "home away from home." While recruitment may seem intimidating at first, don't be scared to go outside of your comfort zone! One leap of faith can lead you to a sisterhood like no other.

AOT,

Natalie Truby, VP Membership 2019
